Raining Cats & Dogs
We recently purchased a new embroidery design called "Raining Cats & Dogs" by Green Bee Designs. This
design will be a fun new addition for spring and brings a whole new meaning to the April showers bring May flowers.
What we need to find now is a similar May flower design.
The Humane Society of Indianapolis will be holding their
annual fundraiser event -Mutt Strutt in April. We've been asked to help one of our clients come up with a unique
marketing idea for this event. So what better design than Raining Cats & Dogs? Using this design as a basis
for a "themed" promotional campaign has been a challenge. The challenge being that while this design is good
for a "top end" prize, we needed to come up with a design that would stitch out fairly quickly for the freebie
giveaways.
Our first idea was to make bandanas with business logo on them - which would be great
if they were worn after the event. Another challenge, therefore, is to also make the freebie giveaway,
something that would be worn after the event. If the business logo was visible but not necessarily the main focus,
chances are it will more likely be used after the event and thus serve its purpose as a reminder of the business that
gave the freebit away.
With the new emphasis on "going green", maybe instead of passing out free bandanas
- a free reusable tote bag would be just the ticket. It would likely be seen by even more people in our target market
and thus fulfill our marketing goals to teach others that "Every Day is a Gift!"
