New Toys
Christmas has come and gone and at Sew Many Paws we are enjoying playing with our new toy - the Babylock BMP8. The BMP8,
named "Spiderman" by Tom because of all the thread going every which way, is truly a fantastic new embroidery machine.
Every salesperson told us we'd love the way it stitches out but initially we attributed that as a sales pitch. Much
to our delight, however, in the 2 weeks we've had it, the BMP8 has lived up to the hype. It trims jump stitches
and seems to have a much more predictable stitch quality than our old machine. We tried embroidering baseball caps
for the first time on this new machine yesterday and while I won't say it was an easy feature to master, once I got the
hang of it, things went well. The new toy is so much fun to play around with I can't wait to try all the designs
I've been saving up. For those on our mailing list, be watching our newsletter for embroidery specials in the upcoming
months. For now - I'm off to play with my new toy but if you have a hobby or passion and are looking
for a unique gift--be sure to give me a call. I'd love to stitch a new design for you. Below is a design I
did last week for the Love of Labs volunteer get together. I'm hoping the winner of the jacket will enjoy it as
much as I enjoyed making it. Love of Labs Volunteer Prize - Labs Resting Jacket

Let us be thankful! Numbers 2 & 1
As we conclude our list of 10 things we are thankful for, we cannot forget to lift up a prayer of thanksgiving for our Lord
whose birth we will be celebrating next week and also give thanks for the salvation we receive through His grace. We
receive grace not because we do anything to deserve it but because of His love and mercy for us.
In reading
a book recently, I came across a paragraph that said that we are better able to appreciate happiness in our lives when
we've had to experience sorrow beforehand. Sorrow teaches us to not take happiness for granted - we know how blessed
we are.
As I think about that concept, I realize that when we acknowledge our need God's grace and mercy,
we are better able to extend grace to others. Having know God's love, I cannot fathom a world without a hope of
salvation. Knowing that this world is but a speck in time compared to eternity, we are better able to handle life's
ups and downs. Know God - Know Hope. or No
God No Hope. We can all choose which path we'll take.
As
Joshua 24:15 says: "but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
